Hi friends! I just got back from a 48 hour trip to NYC last night and I am feeling alive. We had a great time at the NRF gala. Chris caught up with some customers and we were able to celebrate a friend who is killing it in the retail business. I tagged along and all in all it was a great couple of days. Oh yes….we were lucky enough to catch Bette Midler’s closing night of Hello Dolly. She was wonderful! The whole play felt like a Disney main street parade…lol. Very old timey with lots of colorful pastels. The stage and costumes looked like a package of Neccos.
I don’t know what it is…maybe the inner Michael in us all, but I can’t seem to say no to a good military/marching band jacket. Whether they’re on trend or not, I don’t really care. I just think they’re cool. I think the trick is to style them with very wearable pieces like jeans a teeshirt or a simple dress and anything from sneakers to heels. The shoe options are endless. Up your casual look with a marching band jacket.

Somehow I’ve turned into a Moncler snob. I sort of hate that I’ve become a brand name b*tch when it comes to winter weather, but I cannot seem to shake their pieces. Due to the frigid east coast weather, I stumbled upon my first Moncler coat, I’ve been hooked ever since. Considering I am a Utah girl and that they have completely mastered the apes-ski market, it’s kind of a no brainer. They are masters of mixing high fashion with wearability. As you can see I am repping their wedge woman’s Zelie boot (tagged a similar pair above). I promised you’ll be hooked too!
It’s a tale as old as time….gap jeans baby! I get so many compliments when I wear my Gap true skinny jeans. They make your booty look divine! See how I styled them here too.
ladies I encourage you to try something new and up your casual look with a marching band jacket.
