French Connection Riombamba Dress
Valentino Rockstud Heels in Red
Goodnight Macaroon Houndstooth Cocoon Jacket (similar)
Although this French Connection Riombamba dress seems like it belongs only in the cocktail attire category, it really doest only have to be limited to just that. I think we all have many pieces in our closest that surprisingly can be dressed down. I look at all the sparkles in my wardrobe and often wait for the perfect event to pull them out. My objective in styling this French Connection dress down is to show you (and me) that many of our items can be worn more often than we think. Some of the chicest street style looks are when two opposite items are put together unexpectedly.
I will be featuring this same dress next week with a new dressed down look. I would love to challenge anyone to try pulling out dressy pieces and add accessories that logically don’t make the most sense, but that end up making an outfit complete and memorable. Don’t get frustrated with yourself if it doesn’t work immediately. Trust me, Ive had some bad moments in front of my closet mirror. If you just keep playing with it, eventually you will get it right. And to be fair, what is right anyway??? Style is in the eye of the beholder. Like everything, It’s all about balance. xo
