Our home away from home was so serene

With the first signs of warmer weather sneaking in, I can’t help but reflect on my family’s summer Vacation to Sullivan’s Island/Charleston, South Carolina. I cannot tell you how charming the area was….beach board walks, seersucker, southern hospitality, brightly colored beach mansions and killer food. I think my home state is very friendly, but it paled in comparison to the people of Sullivan’s island. One of my friends told me the other day that I have this need to connect with people, so maybe that is why I was so impressed with friendly strangers striking up everyday conversations. As I grow older (yes, I know I’m still young) I seem to appreciate as much high quality time with those I love that I can get. I was thrilled to have my siblings, parents, boyfriend and children all under one roof.
I encourage anyone looking for a great vacation spot to give the Charleston area a try. It was truly a gift to share that experience with so many people I love. Have love lovely day and keep dreaming of summer!
