I have always been interested in learning more about healing crystals, but it wasn’t until I saw an episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and a visit with psychic medium Travis Hill, that I decided to give it a go (thanks Carlton and Travis). Yes, I know that being inspired by RHBV sounds like a pathetic reason to explore the healing powers of crystals, but Carlton seemed very sincere about her belief in their healing properties so I thought “why not?” A couple of my girlfriends and I hired Travis for our two beautiful blonde Pisces girlfriend’s birthday party. I always keep an open mind and try to be an eternal student, so I was very excited about this experience. Having said that, there were definitely many skeptics in the group. Long story short, after a brilliant group meditation and crystals to block negative energy, we had the most beautiful readings that night. Because the details were so special to each individual girl, I will keep them private. I will say Travis knew details that he possibly couldn’t have known. With his gifts, he created such positive energy for an experience that will stay with us for life. If you have never heard of Chakras, Here is the very basic definition according to Mindbodygreen.com
“The 7 Chakras are the energy centers in our body in which energy flows through (see the 7 centers in the body on the chart above).
Blocked energy in our 7 Chakras can often lead to illness so it’s important to understand what each Chakra represents and what we can do to keep this energy flowing freely.” Here is a quick summary of each Chakra:
1. Root Chakra – Represents our foundation and feeling of being grounded.
Location: Base of spine in tailbone area. Emotional issues: Survival issues such as financial independence, money, and food.
2. Sacral Chakra – Our connection and ability to accept others and new experiences.
Location: Lower abdomen, about 2 inches below the navel and 2 inches in. Emotional issues: Sense of abundance, well-being, pleasure, sexuality.
3. Solar Plexus Chakra – Our ability to be confident and in-control of our lives.
Location: Upper abdomen in the stomach area. Emotional issues: Self-worth, self-confidence, self-esteem.
4. Heart Chakra – Our ability to love.
Location: Center of chest just above heart. Emotional issues: Love, joy, inner peace.
5. Throat Chakra – Our ability to communicate.
Location: Throat. Emotional issues: Communication, self-expression of feelings, the truth.
6. Third Eye Chakra – Our ability to focus on and see the big picture.
- Location: Forehead between the eyes. (Also the Brow Chakra) Emotional issues: Intuition, imagination, wisdom, ability to make decisions.
7. Crown Chakra – The highest Chakra represents our ability to be fully connected spiritually.
Location: The very top of the head. Emotional issues: Inner and outer beauty, our connection to spirituality, pure bliss.
Crystals are meant to heal certain Chakras that are blocked. Clearing them helps you fully align yourself with body and spirit again. Sounds too out there?? To me, it actually makes sense that God would give his children natural sources for healing….especially before we had access to the medical resources we do today. I personally believe in a balance of modern and ancient healing.
Healing with stones/crystals doesn’t have to be boring. I have included some pretty beautiful pieces that heal too. To help you heal, find the Chakra that you need to work on (above) and then see the pieces that apply below. Let me know your thoughts. xo Healing stones for your root Chakra (red) Sacral (Orange/gray hematite), Solar Plexus (yellow) and Heart (green) Chakras
