I have been holding off posting for a little while due to the circumstances our world is facing. I personally felt it was a little tone deaf of me to be sharing fashion ideas while other were fighting for their lives and their jobs. One incredible thing about our world, is our ability to adjust and adapt when faced with adversity. Some of the most beautiful parts of humanity have surfaced through all of this.
With everything in consideration, I’ve decided that it’s important to continue to live our lives as “normally” as we can (from home if at all possible). Having said that, make sure it’s within the guidance from the CDC and our local governments.
We’ve been home for days! Cabin fever is at an all time high. Even thought I may be healthy through all of this, it’s important to me to do my part to protect others. We are all in this together.
So, in the spirit of what I mentioned above, I’ve got an ultra 90s inspired How to Wear Vintage in the Spring look for you today.
Almost everything from the 90s is extremely relevant right now. Need inspiration? Google 90s super model style and you’ll find a lot of great ideas.
Vintage Belts
Right now, I am really into vintage belts. Especially anything 90s Versace inspired. I still wear my Gucci belts (all two of them), but TBH, they’re getting old. This Pucci belt was an awesome find for me! I got it at vintage shop years ago (before it was Vintage). I knew it was and would be a smash hit, so I scooped it up right away.
Feathers
I paired my SEA crops tee shirt over a turtleneck (yes that’s a thing), with a pair of paige denim and even more vintage. My Ostrich feather shoes are from the late nineties….HELLO AUSITN POWERS! They’ve been in my closet for the last twenty years knowing they’d be a hit again! So here we are. I’ve linked a couple of designer dream pairs below and included an extra affordable pair as well.
Feather trim is big right now. I’ve seen it on tops, shoes and hems of jeans. As usual, I don’t recommend spending too much money on trends. Luckily you can find trendy, affordable pieces on websites like ASOS, Topshop and ZARA.
Tie Dye Crop Top
Unfortunately, my exact Sea Ione tie dye crop top is sold out. However, I have the dress version linked (on sale). There are other tie dye crop top topics below as well.
My Denim
My Paige Hoxton jeans are almost always available. They just modernize them a little bit each season. They’re for the summer. I included two versions below!
My bag is the Paravel crossbody capsule. It’s especially great for travel.
How to wear vintage in the Spring is easier to do than you think. Like I mentioned above, if you need a relevant starting point, I recommend going with the nineties. Pearls and collars are making a big comeback too! Think Jessica MicClintock!
Best of luck to you and yours! Stay safe! XO
