Day two of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week began with the Rebecca Valance show, then some meetings, followed by the Charlotte Ronson presentaton and lastly, dinner with some people I love.
When I spoke briefly with Rebecca, she said the entire collection was inspired by men’s wear for women with global structure (one of my favorite looks). I especially loved the metallic tweeds that she in cooperated into her designs. Everything was so ladylike yet modern and relevant.
Charlotte Ronson’s designs were fresh, hip and young. There was a lot of great young energy in the room. Models were made up with pouty berry lips and minimal eye makeup. Charlotte’s designs are the epitome of west coast cool. The room was crowed with press, fashionistas and a few young starlets.
