The other day I was doing my best to be a good mom by shopping for my kid’s school lunches at a local health food store. I am sure they won’t eat half of what I bought, but I think I deserve an A for effort! Anyhow, as I was checking out I saw the September issue of Vanity Fair with the beautiful Taylor Swift on the cover. This particular magazine caught my eye (more than Harper’s and Vogue and that is hard to do) because of how beautifully styled it was.
There is a HUGE 70s push going on right now and it makes me want to sing and dance! I am a such a sucker for wearable 70s glam. Which is why I decided to feature the Vanity Fair September issue cover in a look for less post.
The pussy bow (ok that needs a new name stat) is everywhere right now! I My girlfriend in Chicago played one down by wearing it with overalls the other day. Who’d a thought! she looked amazing. On top of that a ladies can never go wrong with a classic red lip. Lots of women say a red lip doesn’t look good on them. To that I say….make sure you pick the right shade. It makes ALL the difference. This L’oreal color riche lipstick is an easy and inexpensive way to play around with the statement color. If you follow me on Instagram then you know I cannot get enough Banana Republic these days (thanks to new creative director Marissa Webb) and these earrings are no exception.
This showstopping fall look can be played up or down and easily worn well into winter. XO
