I shot this look during my end of the summer stay in Santa Barbara, CA. It was crazy humid and there is nothing better than smeared makeup and frizzy hair! The only good thing about humidity is it helps with my natural curl just a bit, but that is one pro for 17 cons. I swear celebrities on the red carpet are either in LA or NYC when they are photographed…they must absolutely be super human to look that good in weather that melts everyone around them. I am a Utah girl…if I can barely breathe do to altitude and can scratch my initials in my dry skin, then I feel right at home!
Other than needing to shower 3 times a day, I absolutely enjoyed Santa Barbara. It’s beyond charming and beautiful. Even though it’s not a secret, it feels like one of the best kept secrets. If you’re ever there, be sure to visit the Four Seasons for dinner or dessert right off of the beach near Montecito. It’s casually sophisticated with a very beautiful old California/Mexico influence.
My mama couldn’t stop teasing me about my “seashells on the boobies” sweater…lol. “It’s official name is the Shell Bra Lost sweater by Wildfox Mother!” My family lounged at the pool and teased me while I shot some groovy pieces including this sweater. It’s a dirty job, but somebody has got to be a mermaid *sigh*

That top would be so awesome over a swimsuit too.
