- You will need around 1 to 3ft of design material (chain, flowers, rhinestones, pearls or whatever you choose), tiny hoops that open, pliers, elastic and scissors
- Secure a tiny hoop around one end of your material
- Thread elastic through the hoop
- Measure material and elastic around your head until it meets the other side. The amount of elastic you expose in the back is up to you
- Cut the other side of design material where you measured it
- Place a tiny hoop on the newly cut end. Thread the other end of the elastic through the new hoop and tie a double knot or secure with a clasp (separate item)
- Place another tiny hoop in the front center of headdress and attach the rest of the design material to the hoop that is also connected to front and center (this hoop holds 2 pieces so secure it tightly w pliers)
- Place the entire headdress on your head and measure the newly attached piece from front to back and cut where the piece comfortably hits the elastic (better to be too loose than too tight)
- once piece is cut, place the final hoop on the back of the elastic and attach the newly cut piece to the hoop as well (this hoop also holds 2 pieces the elastic and design material).
- Now you’re the bell of the ball! ENJOY!
Rhinestones similar to mine (I got mine at hobby lobby) HERE Different chain options HERE
I love the boheiman vibe of this Grecian headpiece. It’s such an easy way to change up your look and try something new. I have seen them selling anywhere from $20-$400 depending on the type and brand. I made mine in about 20 mins and it cost me $13 in supplies. I am not extremely crafty, and this was fairly foolproof for me. I have posted pictures above and different headresses below to give you ideas on looks and pricing (if you were to buy one). Good luck babes! If you make one, please tag me. I would love to see it! xoxo
