I just returned from a long (and awesome) weekend in NYC/Hamptons. I didn’t get much time to shop, but I did notice Fall styles trickling into the window displays (makes me so happy). A couple of things about fall clothing in the summer…..it gets us excited, but it tricks us into buying items that we won’t wear for at least a couple of months. By the time we wear them, they have already gone on sale. This is why I don’t purchase fall until September.
I decided to share this pre Fall maxi by Gap in printed blue (on sale) because it’s still very summer with hints of Fall. The dark cotton is heavier than most cottons which makes it feel a little more Fall forward. I paired the Gap maxi it with this brown felt fedora which is also darker and heavier (felt) than a straw hat giving it a later summer/fall feel.
This looks keeps you sweat free (no knits), but on a fall palatte for a great pre fall feel. Have a great Monday! xo
